SAMSCS Kicks Off Founding Anniversary with Float Parade, Sportswear Competition, and Thrilling Sports Fest on Day 1

The celebration of St. Alexander M. Sauli Catholic School Founding Anniversary kicked off with a vibrant and fun-filled Day 1. The events showcased the school’s unity, spirit, and commitment to holistic education, combining athletic competitions and festive activities.

The day began with a lively Float Parade, featuring creative and colorful floats representing each grade level. All the students, teachers, parents, and staff lined the parade route, showing their school pride as each float passed by. The floats highlighted theme: “Breaking Barriers By Promoting Harmonious Camaraderie” reflecting good relationships and cooperation by everyone.

After the parade, the focus shifted to the Sportswear Competition for Muse and Escort, which was divided into three categories: Preschool Level (Nursery to Kindergarten), Primary Level (Grades 1-3), Intermediate and Junior High School Level (Grades 4-8). The participants from each category dazzled the audience in their sports-themed outfits, radiating confidence, and school spirit. The lovely muses and escorts displayed creativity, charm, and style as they showcased different athletic wear, reflecting the energy and enthusiasm of the school community. Judging criteria included presentation, creativity, and poise, making the competition a memorable and enjoyable event.

The excitement continued with the Field Demonstration, which featured dance performances from Preschool, Primary level, Intermediate and Junior High School. The field demonstration displayed not only the students’ talents but also the dedication of teachers and coaches who worked tirelessly to prepare for the event.

Moreover, in the afternoon, the event was dedicated to the Sports Fest, which featured a variety of games and competitions that encouraged participation and camaraderie. Chess and Scrabble competitions provided a room for students to engage in strategic thinking and sharpen their intellectual skills. Badminton showcased speed and agility, with participants displaying their skills. While in a friendly competition, Volleyball (Teachers vs. Parents) brought out the competitive spirit and drew loud cheers from the crowd as both teams played their hearts out, showing great sportsmanship. The day concluded with a breathtaking Basketball match (Parents vs. Parents), where parents took to the court and demonstrated their skills, teamwork, and love for the sport.
